The room we had was fantastic, and we greatly appreciated the bathtub after a long day of walking around Kyoto. Location is close to the Umekoji-Kyotonishi station, so it's easy to get to Kyoto Station. Alternatively just walk to Kyoto Station, it's not too far and there are some things to see on the way. There are several nearby food options, so finding something to eat is easy. For larger groups we noticed a locked door in our room connecting to a neighbouring room, and I reckon that can be used by families or by larger parties. Very happy with our stay, and would be happy to go back if we're exploring this part of the city again.
There was a slight lingering smell of what felt like smoke (not cigarette smoke), but we're not entirely sure if that was the hotel or the city as we noticed the same smell else where in the city.

Simple, clean rooms, good location for train access and walkable to Kyoto station and town if you don’t mind getting your steps in! Staff were very accommodating for my late evening arrival.
Nothing- was all great relative to the budget!

Great location, cheap stay, great amenities!
On our cleaning day, someone left our door unlocked after cleaning our room.

The location is not far from the station, and the room is quite big. Staff is friendly.
the problem was with a strong smell of the mould. I told staff about the smell and they offered me to clean AC in the room. WHY the didn’t make it in advance?? it became better, but couldn’t get rid of the smell. So now my clothes smells of mould.

"Good facilities and nice space on ground floor to chill out and drink coffee. Loved the plum liquer in the evening too!"
