Wonderful location in the mountains. Beautiful views from the dining area and very peaceful. Breakfast is simple and self serve: toast, jam, coffee mix and tea. Snacks, drinks (soft drinks, beer, soju, coffee) and instant meals (soup & rice, noodles) can be bought onssite
The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and even though no one was there, we were able to leave our luggage and then head out for the afternoon. The host offered to pick us up from Hwagae terminal in the evening and arranged a taxi for us to Gurye after our own online attempts failed. She always responded quickly to messages and checked in on us. Our original plan was to go hiking but as the rain prevented us from doing so, she suggested alternative activities and safer walks in the region.
Even though the bathrooms look a bit dated (as per the photos), our room was comfortable and clean. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toothpaste were provided. Nothing to complain about!
No fault of the host but worth noting:
Location is somewhat tricky if travelling without a car as local buses are irregular and the timings unreliable. The bus drivers and locals were always friendly, but sometimes they just didn't show up. A taxi from Hwagae station to the hostel cost ₩6000 and to Gurye bus station ₩21,000. During the day we walked to the station/bus stops but at night the roads are poorly lit and there's no pedestrian path.
There are no shops or restaurants close to the hotel, they're all a 15-20 min walk away in Hwagae so make sure you stock up before arriving.

Le personnel était très sympa, malgré qu'elle ne parlait pas anglais et c'était suffisamment proche de Jirisan pour commencer le trek.
Malheureusement j'ai manqué le petit-déjeuner car je partais avant 7h30
La douche et dans les toilettes ce qui peut être dérangeant

Placed in the perfect location. Jirisan National Park behind you and in front the river Seomjin. Very relaxing.
