Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Comfortable and homely accommodation. We particularly enjoyed our interaction with an escaped lamb as well as listening to the sheep in the morning and evening. It is a quiet and peaceful location, and a wonderful place to relax.
Not easy to find. One of the reasons we chose this was for the wet room. Sadly this was the only room that proved a disappointment in the whole house and we never used it, because it looked so unappealing. .The upstairs bath/shower wasn't the easiest to get in and out of for us older folk but would be no problem for younger fitter renters.

Fantastic !! accommodation , was such a lovely welcome on arrival, Set in the grounds of a working farm so lots of sheep and horses, but still so very quiet. Lovely furnishings, fluffy towels and crisp linen made up on bed for when we arrived. Woodside barn was in the perfect spot for anyone wanting a walking holiday, but still not far from a 15 minute drive to Thirsk town, Sutton Bank is in close proximity for more walks or cycling which you can hire. Plenty of walking trails can be found from the barn without getting in car, Such as Gormire lake which is 15 minute walk. There are lots of beautiful places to visit not far away too, such as Helmsley town , Of cause the James Herriot museum in Thirsk, Pickering steam train a 40 minute drive, there you can either a moors trail or seaside to Whitby ride, Mouseman Robert Thompson museum in Kilburn a 15 mins drive or can walk it from Sutton bank is a lovely day out, plus you get an excellent White horse photo from there. Don't forget The Forresters Arms pub opposite for a gorgeous meal or snack. I could go on more as found our week stay was just excellent, We just needed more days to do more. The owners where very friendly and helpful and on hand if needed. 10/10 rating
Not much to report, just that the postcode Yo72py took us to Thirlby, where on arrival pack postcode was Yo72ps so that may need addressing ??
A door blind or curtain on main door as was a bit too open hence the neighbours in Gormie cottage had to pass across and we got no privacy in my nightwear making breakfast.
All in all excellent.
