Charming 17th century building steps away from the center of town. Lovely continental breakfast. Dulce, the manager was so helpful, orienting us to the city and assisting us with our needs. We would definitely return.

The location is PERFECT! The basket of breakfast items was delicious. The interiors are beautiful.

Mesón Hidalgo is undoubtedly a charming property, beautifully renovated with great attention to Mexican tradition and art. The location is perfect, the rooftop terrace is lovely, and the girl at the front desk was always kind and helpful.
However, the overall value doesn’t match the high price point, especially when compared to nearby 5-star hotels offering a wider range of services.
The biggest issue is the noise: the room is located right above a nightclub, making it nearly impossible to sleep without earplugs — and on some nights, not even those help.
The shower is outdated and not very comfortable, and while breakfast in the room is a nice touch, it could be more generous and include savory options.
