The Good: The location is excellent—just a 2-minute walk to the beach and a 1-minute walk to the Sun World Sunset Town free shuttle drop off/pick up point. The rooms are generously sized with all the facilities you need. The local marts nearby are very affordable for drinks and snacks. I’d also recommend the street food vendors outside the marts over the local restaurants; the food tasted better and far more reasonably priced in my opinion (food was cheaper than other areas we visited in Vietnam)
.
The Bad:
Breakfast was fairly average and basic compared to other hotels we visited in Vietnam. Only coffee option is Vietnam Coffee (already sweetened). Families with younger kids might struggle as there were no cereal options or many kid-friendly items.
The Dealbreaker (Reason for low rating): We had no hot water for our entire two-night stay, and the cold water pressure was very poor. This seems to be a known, recurring issue that the staff were aware of but unable to fix during our visit. We were told it would be resolved after our check out. We were given the option to shower in another building but opted not to go for that option because we visited the Sunworld waterpark and showered there instead.
Summary: This is a great spot for a one-night stay if you are visiting Sunset Town/ Kem Beach. However, I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays until the hot water issues are fully resolved.
*** The room we stayed in was built up against a rock/stone wall (only a hand width space between the windows and wall). This makes for a very unpleasant view. It didn't bother us much because we hardly spent time in the room ****
