The hostess Alicia lives on the 3rd floor. Upon arrival, she buzzed us in and showed us the apartment. She explained everything. She was a delight to deal with.
We loved the location. It is less than a 3-minute walk from Setas de Seville which is a major attraction and easy to find. There are lots of great and inexpensive cafes and bars. La Gata en Bicilieta was my favourite in Seville.
This apartment was very affordable. It cost less than half compared to an average hotel stay. The five star hotel directly across our bedroom cost more than four times per night.
Our sympathies to the housing protesters that set up a tent city at the Setas. However we will continue to use short-term accommodations as long as they are available and legal.
There is a full kitchen (no oven) and a washing machine. There is a living room with a sofa, dining table, three chairs and a big screen TV. The small full bathroom was adequate and included a bidet. Two Juliette balconies overlook the narrow street below. We are on the first floor (which is safely above the ground floor). This apartment is older styled, with a lot of tile.
The towels are too old or too rough.
Only the living room balcony is enclosed with glass. You can hear everything through the wood doors of the bedroom balcony. It didn't bother us during our five nights, but some people may not be as tolerant of the street noise.
The glass shower is small with two sliding corner doors making it difficult to get in and out. Plus the shower head holder is mounted high and only allows the shower handle to spray horizontally. However, the shower handle is removable so you could wash yourself all over.
The marble floor was squeaky clean however that only accentuated the tiny amount of dust that you can see in the corners.
