A lovely stay in a spacious villa.

The property was very clean. The pool area was lovely. The pool was a great size. Belkis the owner responded really quickly when we had an electrical issue- villa was cleaned and fresh bedding and towels were provided after the first week.

Kitchen would benefit from more plugs.

A great stay

We had a lovely stay. Villa had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The huge pool and outside area are real highlights of this villa. A particularly nice touch was arriving to see a christmas tree in the lounge which made two children really smile. We will certainly use this property again.

The sofa is very soft and doesn't give much support but other than that nothing.

Stay well clear of this property!!!

Genuinely relieved to be going home, thank god it was only four days and not longer!

Having stayed in numerous villas across the Canary Islands over the years, I can honestly say this was by far the most disappointing property I have ever experienced. The condition of the villa was dreadful; both the interior and exterior were filthy. The area around the pool was littered with broken tiles and paving stones, and it seemed as though the pool hadn't been cleaned all year. The pool net was in such poor shape it fell apart when used, and the sun loungers were in desperate need of more than just a clean – they required proper decontamination. There was also a used sticking plaster poolside. The furniture and beds were a mismatched collection that did nothing to improve the atmosphere. Inside, things were even worse. Almost everything was either broken or in dire need of repair. The dishwasher was useless, with missing wheels and unable to clean anything. For a family of six, there were only a handful of odd glasses, no place mats for the dining table, and the sofa was so uncomfortable it was practically unusable. Cooker also was a hit or a miss. The blackout blinds were broken, and the shower on the first floor leaked so badly that water poured under the door, down the hallway, and onto the stairs – a genuine safety hazard, especially given the lack of towels to mop up the mess. We constantly had issues with the electricity tripping, requiring us to reset the fuse board repeatedly. Door handles were missing, and the front door itself was difficult to open, needing a considerable amount of force. Every room needed serious maintenance, and the downstairs area suffered from poor ventilation. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi simply didn’t work. The final straw was the infestation of mosquitoes and cockroaches. After 32 years of travelling abroad with hardly any issues, our entire family was covered in bites. This villa was truly appalling.

A lovely family holiday in Villa Belja!

The size of the villa and the pool area were great for our family holiday. There is an Aldi around the corner which is really convenient and a taxi to the harbour was only 4-5 euros (it was further to walk than we expected) Playa Blanca is a lovely place with some amazing views and restaurants. There is a lot of storage space in the bedrooms for hanging clothes and an ironing board and washing machine which came in handy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need, although there were only 3 wine glasses. The owner Belkis was available to answer any questions and was very helpful.

As others have mentioned it could really benefit from some redecorating and general maintenance. There were a few things that were broken and some things could have been cleaner. We had quite a few cockroaches appear in the bedrooms. The outside area could also do with some parasols as there isn’t much shade. It’s a real shame as it is a lovely villa but could do with some serious TLC which would make it amazing.
