Upon arrival at the apartment, we immediately encountered serious safety concerns. The front door would not stay closed or lock, and the patio door had a significant gap that our fingers could fit through. The cleanliness of the property was equaling alarming. We discovered approximately thirty bugs in the kitchen area (due to windows being left open), dirty dishes in the cabinets, stains on the kitchen chair cushions and the couch, hair in the shower, the bed mattress had visible stains (hard mattresses where you could feel the springs), clean laundry on the lines outside the kitchen window, and the toilet seat was broken and did not sit properly. We attempted to contact the host and she wouldn't answer the phone or address our concerns through text. We spent 3.5 hours on the phone with VRBO customer care and they got the host on the phone. The host only agreed to address the door issues and claimed someone would arrive in one hour. Despite our clear concerns about safety and cleanliness, we received no meaningful commitment to resolve the problems. We ultimately decided the apartment was uninhabitable and left to find other accommodations. Following our departure, the host cancelled our reservation and falsely accused us of violating house rules by taking a pass card - a claim that is completely untrue. We left everything as we found it. We had to pay for four nights at a hotel and remain in dispute with VRBO for a full refund. I am unable to upload my videos.

Our stay at this apartment was extremely disappointing and did not meet the expectations created by the listing, especially considering the amount we paid.The apartment itself was much smaller than anticipated, and the bathrooms had a persistent urine odor throughout our five-night stay. No amount of cleaning products or air fresheners seemed to eliminate the smell. One of the showers was so small that it was difficult to use comfortably. As someone who weighs approximately 140 pounds, I found there was barely enough room to move while showering.The condition of one of the bedrooms was particularly concerning. The mattress was heavily stained and appeared unsanitary. In addition, the springs could both be felt and heard whenever anyone moved, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on.The kitchen was also poorly equipped and maintained. Several pots had damaged nonstick coatings with Teflon visibly peeling away. The only coffee-making options provided were two old espresso pots that appeared dirty and did not function properly. The main kitchen knife was literally being held together with tape, which raised obvious safety concerns.We were not provided with extra garbage bags, nor were there instructions in English explaining where or how to dispose of trash. The washing machine detergent dispenser was broken, causing detergent to spill out during use. This appeared to be a longstanding issue, as there was visible rust around the

We stayed here for a couple of nights. It was a perfect place to drive to Pompeii for a day and to take the ferries to Positano and Amalfi for another day. Within a very short walk we found fabulous restaurants along narrow co3bblestone streets. The city of Salerno was very alive at night. It was so nice to see so many people out for dinners with family andnfriends. out wiers.

About this apartment rental

Holiday home recently renovated with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and another double sofa bed. Located in the city center and in the heart of the famous artist lights at 100 mt. from the waterfront. Easy to reach Amalfi and Cilento Coast. It overlooks the most beautiful town square where the entrance door to the medieval city is located. Very close to the train station, bus stop. It has a kitchen, washing machine, iron and utensils

We stayed here for a couple of nights. It was a perfect place to drive to Pompeii for a day and to take the ferries to Positano and Amalfi for another day. This apartment straddles the ancient Salerno and the new Salerno. The train station is within walking distance. There is also a grocery store just minutes away from the apartment and a myriad of restaurants, bars, gelato and anything else you can think of eating. The property was smaller than we had thought, but, it served us well because the location was four star. The building is safe with a working elevator and close to the train, taxi's, buses and even water taxi's. We hope to return.
