I stayed in a hostel in a beautiful historic building, directly opposite the entrance to the magnificent Gothic church Église Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais. It is hard to imagine a better location in Paris. The metro, the Seine, Notre-Dame Cathedral and numerous museums are all within easy walking distance. Despite being so central, the area is remarkably quiet. I would give the location 12 out of 10!
The building has a lift, and there is a very convenient free luggage storage room in the basement. The staff are very friendly, the hostel is clean, and the atmosphere is generally quiet.
The room was rather small and cramped. There was a USB-C charging port instead of a regular power socket, but it didn't work. There was only one standard electrical socket for the entire room.
The bunk beds were particularly uncomfortable. Their construction was very noisy, and even turning over in bed was enough to make the whole room hear you.
The Wi-Fi didn't work on the fourth floor, where my room was located.
Breakfast is included in the price, but unfortunately, the quality was quite disappointing.

The hostel is positioned is a very nice and safe area, the staff also was welcoming and sweet.
Breakfasts were very practical and true to value, which was nice.
It was peak heat wave when I went, making it extremely difficult to sleep or stay long periods of time in the room. Top bunks did not receive any air from the single fan, for a six dorm room.

The room bed is given but eventually end up just sleep whichever bed is vacant! That is the answer.
