Gorgeous house with wonderfully serene atmosphere in the middle of Colombo. It felt like a privilege to be able to stay here. Service was also very charming and helpful. A perfect first night in Sri Lanka!
The water pressure in the shower could have been stronger, and the temperature less variable. I was also slightly sad not to get a Sri Lankan breakfast on my first morning in the country; I gather you have to order this in advance. But these two things are very minor for a generally wonderful place.

Very comfortable and characterful property that felt like a little oasis of calm on the hustle & bustle of Colombo. Friendly manager who made some good local recommendations and organised a tuk tuk tour for us. Good breakfast.

Peaceful oasis in the middle of Colombo. Very comfortable room with A/C and all the amenities you need - and enjoyed experiencing the interior design by Geoffrey Bawa! Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful - and breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was basic , good selection of cut fruit, a good Sri Lankan omelet. Supermarket white sliced toasted bread. Supermarket marmalade and jam, good butter.Dreadful coffee.
We had expected more and better given its marketed as an exceptional breakfast.
The property is immaculately maintained and clean. As a As a heritage property I would have expected more information being available. There was zero.
It’s marketed that the gates are secured at 10pm. They were locked from the afternoon. Access was not a problem but inconvenient.
Visiting friends were not permitted to view the suite we were occupying. So they won’t stay there.
It’s a beautiful heritage property. It has so much more that could be done , especially for Bawa fans.
