Situated on the National Trust's Historical Walking Tour of old Caymanian homes, this idyllic retreat is nestled among mature seagrape trees at the tranquil northern end of Seven Mile Beach, offering a serene escape from the bustling resort areas. Please remember your water socks, as sometimes the beach can get a little rocky!
Just offshore lie some of the most renowned dive sites on the western end of Grand Cayman, while shallower reefs beckon snorkelers, with the popular Cemetery Reef just a few hundred yards south. We had an excellent first experience in Grand Cayman Island and our stay at Nautilus Cottage definitely contributed to the success. Pro tip - DO NOT wait until the last day to walk to Heritage Kitchen for lunch/dinner. The cottage was perfect for our family of three (wife, husband, 13 yo son), however the privacy is a bit lacking, so be aware if you have older children or are traveling with another couple. Nothing wrong per se, and you can certainly still stay with other adults, but just make sure you are comfortable with them. Only one en-suite bathroom and that bathroom has no doors to separate it from the bedroom. Second bathroom is adjacent to bedroom, but you have to go into main living space to access it. And the sliding doors on the second bedroom had a hard time staying all the way shut on their own. However, overall we loved the set up and its simplicity. The outdoor space was perfect for morning coffee on the porch and dinner grilled outside. Just be aware of the resident island chickens who provide free entertainment and might try to steal your dinner. The area right over the retaining wall is a bit rocky, but there is a nice small beach about 50 feet to the left of the cottage and you can walk as far down 7-Mile beach as you desire, so the lack of being able to swim right out of the cottage did not bother us at all. Just something else to be aware of. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay here and the rental company was great to work with. 5 Stars!!!

Fabulous peaceful, private deck with gorgeous ocean view surrounded by lovely garden. Located at perfect spot to snorkel out to cemetery reef. Cute, cute cottage with everything you need. Peaceful and beautiful neighborhood lane with public access way at end of street to full seven mile beach. Easy walking distance via public access lane at end of street to grocery store and a few restaurants and shops. The best part of all might have been the host and her staff. Absolutely A.
