an okay stay

nice location, quite spacious downstairs area and balcony

everything was passable - some attention to cleaning and upkeep would make it so much nicer. bathroom was mouldy and some fittings were broken or didn’t work anymore.

Location good within Baixa, luggage storage 1 minute away for €5.

The shower was very good, both powerful and very hot. Lots of kitchen appliances provided.

A long answer but worthwhile reading, if I had seen something like this I would NOT have stayed!! We contacted the company asking if a hairdryer was definitely going to be provided as I had seen on previous reviews that some people did not have a hairdryer for their stay. We have left the apartment and still awaiting a response! The general upkeep of the apartment was only satisfactory. The apartment as a whole needs a painting overhaul, lots of markings on the walls and ceilings. The main living area has been previously badly damaged from water leakages and timber swelling. The timber flooring by the radiator is currently rotting with white residue. Areas of the flooring is sinking in parts. The main area of concern in the living area is that there is a patch of flooring that rises into a V shape and is EXTREMELY dangerous, a huge falling risk hazard, obvious in pictures.. we had to place the furniture over same to stop tripping on it. There is limited ceiling lighting in the apartment, just lamps etc. The doors to the balcony have shutters that are falling off at times and can catch your fingers. The bathroom is only ok, again pictures will prove same as not cleaned properly prior to our arrival. No hanging spots for towels, no appropriate shelving for toiletries etc. The smaller flush for the toilet wasn’t working, therefore can not save on water. There is no bottle of hand soap at the sink, sachets of soap x4 was given but it is very messy to handle. The bedroom is less than desirable. Definitely requires good painting by the walls and ceiling. We had to pull the bed away from the wall and sleep upside down as we felt we would hit our heads off of the ceiling. The windows and jams were dirty, again a simple clean and paint would improve it immensely. Anyone 6ft and over would find the bedroom difficult. Apartment would not suit light sleepers. If balcony doors and windows kept closed musty smell is very bad!

Beautiful apartment with a few small improvements needed ✨

The apartment is stunning—one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The location is perfect and the space is very bright.

The only downside was the sofa bed, which was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom is nice and bright as well, but it could use a few shelves or surfaces to place things. Some essential items were missing, such as a hairdryer, and the towels we found were a bit stained.
