This is an amazing historic place with a wonderful welcoming host/landlady. We stayed in a spacious room/suite with a four poster bed that was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, as was the complementary Dorset apple cake that the landlady gave us. All this for an amazing price - incredible value.
The public car park was a little bit of a walk but with plenty of parking spaces.

Quirky room upstairs. Comfortable bed and very quiet. Good tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was done well.
Didn't find out the wifi password until breakfast time (the tea room was closed when we arrived).
The shower is rather puny.

Quirky and old-worlde, with a giant living room and a four poster bed. At the top of the town centre, so very central and easy to walk to shops, pubs, restaurants. We had a very friendly welcome over the phone on arrival, and equally friendly welcome at breakfast the morning after.
Initial view was a bit off putting - it looked rather shabby from outside and when we first entered. We had to street park a few blocks away, you can pay overnight but have to top up from 8am. The street parking felt safe, though.

Convenient location. No parking at the property but public carpark is near by.
Dated furnishings and poor bathroom.
