It is perfectly situated in the heart of Lisbon and the city centre is just a few minutes away on foot.
I’d booked a 6 female only bedroom and there were even only 4 beds. It’s also fairly cheap.
Shower was dirty, a staff in the kitchen couldn’t even speak English, the girl who’d wrote down the breakfast signing didn’t communicate well and I didn’t even notice she was part of the staff in the beginning. The hostel is pretty central so you’ll hear cars and people pass by at night.

The location was a plus! The common area has everything i needed during the stay. The had breakfast for €2. The room was a private and spacious one. Most of the guests were young adults.
The furniture was outdated.

It was quiet, the staff was extremely friendly. All of the beds and rooms were cleaned as soon as a guest would check out. Theres activities almost every day for entertainment, touring and socialising with the other guests. The location was 5-10 minutes away from the center of Lisbon. Would 100% recommend to stay here.

Location was fine
The hostel is run by volunteers who are great, and overall I had a good experience with them. However, I had one incident that was very frustrating and highlighted a lack of organisation.
When I checked in, I asked if I could have a bottom bunk, but none were available. The receptionist told me to come back first thing in the morning to see if I could move. The next morning, I checked and saw that two people were leaving, meaning two bottom bunks had become available.
I went to reception at 9:20am, but nobody was there. I rang the bell five times, and eventually the housekeeper came, but she wasn't able to help. I was going to be late for my walking tour, so I left a note with her to pass on to reception.
When I returned later, nothing had been done. The receptionist was also very unapologetic and told me that I should have rung the bell — despite the fact that I had rung it five times.
I found her tone incredibly frustrating, and at that point I asked for a refund and left. I had to book alternative accommodation at the last minute.
The incident was disappointing and, for me, highlighted a lack of structure and organisation. It also made me wonder what would happen if a guest needed assistance at reception at that time, or needed to check out.
The volunteers themselves were lovely, but this particular experience could have been handled much better.
