Moro is a beautifully designed boutique hotel where every detail feels thoughtfully curated. Effortlessly stylish, yet incredibly warm and welcoming, it became our home away from home for a week in Marrakech.
We stayed in a garden-view room, waking each morning to beautiful views over the Yves Saint Laurent gardens. The hotel itself is a peaceful oasis amid the wonderful chaos of Marrakech. Returning after a busy day exploring the souks always felt like a welcome retreat.
But what truly makes Moro special is its people. The team operates like a family, taking genuine pride in their work and caring for their guests in a way that feels effortless and sincere. There’s a real sense of belonging here that goes far beyond traditional hotel hospitality.
A special mention to Mouad, Marouane, Malik and the entire team, who provided exceptional service and made our stay so memorable. By the end of the week, it genuinely felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. We were especially touched by the team’s sincere affection for and engagement with our toddler, which made our stay feel all the more personal.
The location was also fantastic for us travelling with a toddler. Being next to the YSL gardens meant we could enjoy regular walks along the surrounding footpaths, something not always easy to find in Marrakech.
Moro is one of those rare places where beautiful design meets genuine soul. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. We cant wait to return.

The apartment was beautiful and very spacious for our family of 5, including a gorgeous private courtyard which we weren't expecting. Staff were very attentive and absolutely wonderful with our children - so kind and patient. Lovely breakfast.

MORO Boutique Hotel is a beautiful hotel. It was even beyond my expectations. The hosts are very friendly and the food is incredible. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

The hotel has a distinctive concept with a 70s Palm Springs-inspired aesthetic, and there are moments where this comes through nicely. Certain design elements are visually appealing, and the overall atmosphere has potential to feel unique and characterful. The staff were warm and did their best to be accommodating throughout the stay, which was appreciated.
Overall, the experience didn’t fully match expectations. Some areas of the courtyard felt unstructured, and the rooms, while individually styled, lacked consistency in comfort and finish. There was also a strong diffuser scent in the room that may not suit all guests. Check-in felt minimal and more transactional than welcoming, with limited introduction to the property or amenities. More attention to detail would elevate the experience significantly.
