The staff are absolutely incredible. The manager Prashid is astounding. I have never had staff go so far out of there way to help me enjoy my stay. Prashid arranged all my outings and messaged everyday I was off site to make sure everything was going well. These were off-site trekking he had no obligation to check in but he did. I was in Kathmandu for the festival and didn't know anyone so he took me to his family's home to celebrate so I could enjoy the experience. There isn't enough space in the comments to list all the things he went out of his way to help me with.
It was my first time to Nepal and I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The staff made to inform me what I should be careful with and where to go. The guided me to the BEST laundromat in Kathmandu amongst other things.
If it's your first time to Nepal I would highly suggest Bird's Nest Hostel as place to stay. I've learned so much and met so many people because I chose to stay here. The price you pay does not come close to the value you get. If you are not meeting and talking with other travelers then you'll find yourself laughing with the staff.
Prashid believes everyone who comes should feel like family. I can say first hand he delivers on his promise.
I don't really have much to comment here. I can only say there are many options as to where you can stay. You will get what you pay for so don't expect luxury if you are paying for economy. There are many options and I would make sure you ask if you don't like something.

Great location and lots of shared space to chill in.
Room was a bit cramped and not very convertible. Toilet was open at the top so not very much privacy. Staff were a little short.
