The Dolphin Hotel Exmouth

The Dolphin hotel is an excellent hotel to stay in when visiting the beautiful seaside town of Exmouth. It is situated in a perfect location on the corner of Morton Road and Victoria Road. The beach front is approximately a 150 yard walk up Morton Road. And it is roughly a10 minute walk down Victoria Road to the Strand ( a pedestrianised square with shops , coffee shops, bars and restaurants ) and the town centre to retail shops , supermarkets, more bars and restaurants, charity shops, bus stops and Exmouth train station. The exe-estuary trail for walkers and cyclists is easy to access from the town centre. The Dolphin hotel is very clean and the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The room and the bathroom suite was very clean and the towels were changed when requested and beds were made, and bins empted plus the coffees and teas replenished each day. The car parking option we had was to pay the hotel a daily fee , which was very reasonable, in which we were given a car parking pass ( for a £20 cash deposit, refundable when pass is returned) by the hotel. You then, display the pass in your vehicle, when you park your vehicle in the Camperdown Terrace long stay carpark for the duration of your stay at the hotel. The carpark is a short walk from the hotel, ideal place indeed. From the hotel go left on Victoia Road and turn 1st right onto Camperdown Terrace to the carpark. The hotel offers a large variety breakfast. The food is excellent and so are the staff. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough for you to have a lovely stay and breakfast at the hotel. The next time we go to Exmouth we would definitely stay at the Dolphin hotel without hesitation. and wouldn't even consider anywhere else. To reiterate, the hotel is in an ideal location which is in a very quiet residential area but close in walking distance to the beach front and town centre. We thank all the hotel staff for a lovely, pleasant, stress -free stay .

We had a pleasant stay but would say this is a nice B&B not a hotel. Pre-ordering breakfast the night before wasn’t ideal.
