It was wonderful to be just off the main road but feel so amongst nature. Your park up and then head down the walk way to the main hotel building. Which has a gorgeous view, high ceilings and lounge space. Due to cooler conditions the fires were lit, which made for a homey feel. Throughout the small contained resort the sounds were incredible, and we had a special visitor on our balcony of a stunning knysna turaco bird.
We chose to eat at the restaurant both evenings, which makes for a more relaxing stay. We were there from a Sunday to a Tuesday and some places are closed early or not open at all on Monday. The food was great and the dining space felt really cosy and intimate. As the hotel is so small you never feel over crowded or pushed out. Enjoy a hearty breakfast but it is returning for the evening meal that I would recommend.
We experienced cooler weather so weren't able to use the pool but the outdoor space is large and experiences amazing views and sunsets. Definitely recommend sitting out with a beer, listening to the birds.
My only feed back is the reception and bar are all one and in the dining space. When we arrived we had to call out for someone to meet us. It could be separated or tidying up a bit as we could see behind the desk and hear the phone ring and conversations whilst dining. But with small number of staff I understand the need to combine work and function spaces.

The location is a dream.. you feel you are just below canopy level with the sights abd sounds of the forest but in wonderful comfort. Access to the property is on a small road but easily accessible. Victor and Wonderful were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant tgat evening snd they had lit fires in both fireplaces so it was so cosy and atmospheric. The meal was delicious too. The bed was super comfy with a warming blanket and I slept like a baby.
