A well situated, cheap roof for a night.
Generally just a bit shabby. The heating didn’t work and the window was draughty. There was black mold in various places around the bathroom and bedroom. I had to reattach the toilet seat. There were holes in the plaster; some of which had been filled but not sanded back or painted. The carpet grippers were visible around most of the perimeter of the room so the carpet was essentially a large patchwork rug. One of the electrical socket faceplates had been smashed, exposing the wiring behind. The mattress on the double bed felt like tracing paper draped over a skip full of scrap metal so my partner and I ended up squeezing onto the memory foam single for the night in order to get any sleep.
All in all, it’s cheap so as long as you’re cheerful and resourceful, it’s possible to treat it as an adventure and move on swiftly.
