- Great location and a spacious apartment with a balcony.
- The bathroom was clean and good size, with a powerful shower.
- Access to Netflix and Youtube
- The washer/dryer
Finding the apartment was quite a challenge. Sending guests a short video with directions before arrival would make things much easier. As we had no Wi-Fi to contact the host via WhatsApp, we were stuck trying to find the place for a while.
Unfortunately, the apartment lacked any real sense of comfort or cosiness. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable for watching TV, the kitchen was very basic, and a coffee machine would have been a welcome addition. The minimalist decor also felt rather bare, although the apartment has the potential to be decorated with much more taste and personality.
The bed linen was not the right size for the bed, and the cupboards were poorly organised. There were no sheets to place under the blankets. There was only one bedside table, no easy access to a power socket on both sides of the bed, and no bedside lamps.
A few small touches would also make the apartment more welcoming, such as placing the bathroom towels on the bed instead of leaving guests to search through cupboards.
Check-out between 9 and 10 a.m. is rather early. What made the experience even less pleasant was the owner's attitude at departure. He came to collect the keys and inspected every room as though he didn't trust us to have treated the apartment properly. We had left everything clean, folded the towels and removed the bed linen, yet there wasn't even a thank you. When he asked how our stay had been, I simply replied, "OK."
Overall, the apartment has potential, but it lacks comfort, thoughtful details and a welcoming attitude from the host. A few improvements and a more trusting, hospitable approach would make a significant difference.
