The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They recommended several things to do during our stay. A kettle and an iron were available for shared use. The location was also conveniently close to Pimentel.
Unfortunately, the swimming pool was not available during our stay. It looked very nice in the photos on Booking.com, so I recommend asking in advance whether the pool will be available before making a reservation.
We stayed in Room 24 on the second floor. Natural ventilation was very limited, and the fan was quite old and did not provide much airflow. As a result, the room became extremely hot. Keeping the windows closed was not really an option because the heat became unbearable.
Mosquitoes were also a serious issue. As shown in the photos, there were mosquitoes inside our room, and the windows did not have screens. At the same time, we could not keep the windows or curtains closed because of the heat. My wife and I ended up with multiple mosquito bites. I strongly recommend bringing mosquito repellent or another way to keep mosquitoes away.
Since this is a guesthouse-style hotel, you depend on the staff to open the door when entering or leaving the property. If you arrive late at night or leave very early in the morning, this can be inconvenient. At least for us, it was something we did not particularly like. If you expect to be coming and going frequently outside regular hours, this is something worth taking into consideration.
