I had a 5-night stay here. The location is hands down the best you can get in Uppsala—it’s within easy walking distance of the central train station, the city center, and the university. Everything is nearby, so I didn't need to buy any bus tickets at all.
I stayed in a private room; although the facilities are somewhat dated, it was stasfying clean, and having a small mini-fridge in the room was a great plus. The shared bathrooms were kept regularly cleaned, and even visiting in October during the busy university term, I never had to wait in line (just note that some bathrooms have the shower and toilet together in the same space, which is great for people who care ;) Check-in and check-out were effortless, and the receptionist was genuinely warm, welcoming, and helpful.
The kitchen could use better ventilation/an exhaust fan as the air gets a bit heavy.

Good location, interesting interriors, capable kitchen facilities, good and clear communication, non-plastic kettle in the kitchen.
sticky, gunky kitchen handles, weary things around, and you'll need earplugs
