Amazing historic, elegant building that really brings you back to the turn of the 20th century. Great spa and the best and most extensive breakfast buffet I've seen anywhere. The room was really nice and quiet. Great location for the station and the beach. Staff are friendly and professional. Excellent value in the off season.
The stay was fantastic, no complaints.

Excellent location - walking distance to shops restaurants train and beach. Very glamourous old style hotel - you could just imagine how it must have been in the 50 and 60's era with visiting movie stars! Restaurant was excellent as was the service. It was also nice to see people actually dress for dinner. Outstanding breakfast selection. Staff very attentive and accomodating.
Bathroom was a little small for a '5' star hotel, and insufficient places to hang wet towels or bathrobes. Lovely bathtowels, but napkin style hand and bidet towels, which don't absorb water. They did get changed frequently though. No tea or coffee maker in the room and drinking water was for a fee, which we thought should have been complimentary. Spa facilities were nice but quite basic for a 5 star facility.
