Lovely location, good facilities, pleasant and comfortable beds and common rooms.
A little chilly, but normal for an old cottage and time of year. Adding extra heat with boosts to central heating was easy (Hive device available), so not a complaint just an observation.

Location was excellent. In the centre of Grasmere. The cottage is comfortable.
You need to be aware of the damp spreading across the ceiling in the kitchen . It is causing the paint to peel off. Also in the lounge room (upstairs).
I suspect blocked roofing gutters ( leaf debris & moss ) may be causing a backup of drainage causing water to flow into the house eaves & further into the roof.

Great location, good place to base yourself to see Grasmere and the lake district
No outdoor space (which we knew when booking) but the beer garden of tweedies nearby was great for post hike/swim unwind
