Very nice staff and great camaraderie amongst guests. Upstairs showers preferable to use and nice seating spaces downstairs and upstairs.
Very vibrant area with loads of quality shops. Awesome juicing place and Sok supermarket very close to hostel.
Excellent location close to main attractions and main train station for travel to main museum.
Mixed dorms not a problem and made interactions more meaningful with everyone.
Good kitchen setup.

Cute house in the center of Izmir just 5min from Basmane train station so really convenient for day trip. It is also in the Bazaar so you can easily buy anything you need just down the street.
The garden is so peaceful, you just want to stay all day listening to the music and the birds.
The staff is wonderful and really helpful in all possible way. I really felt like home, I even extended my trip and stayed an overall of 7nights.
Will definitely come back whenever I am in Izmir :)

Location. The garden is nice and there’s a nice table. it’s good there is a kitchen but a toaster would help. Mehmet is a really nice staff member, helpful and friendly.
The owner and staff show little regard for guests’ belongings or food. They enforce a “label your food” rule, yet this makes little sense—old, spoiled items can still be labelled. I labelled my food clearly, but they still threw it away, claiming it was “inedible.” This included a fresh avocado I had opened that very day and 3-day old cream cheese.
The beds in each room have no curtains for privacy, so I used my towel as a makeshift curtain. Every day, staff removed it and dumped it on the floor without a second thought.
The bathrooms are poorly maintained, with minimal ventilation, and are far below acceptable hygiene standards. Cleanliness issues are not acceptable. The shared fridge has very limited space for the number of guests, making storage impractical. Obviously we know why they’re so liberal with ‘fridge cleaning’.
