It is called a hostel but that's only a technical term. It's really a well run and very clean 3 star hotel but it cannot call itself a hotel due to the Tourism Authority's rules. To be a hotel it has to have a lobby and 24 HR check in among other things. This property doesn't have those things so it can only call itself either a guesthouse or hostel. The 'lobby' is on the 13th floor and the rooms are on the 11th, 12th and some are in the 13th floor too. Fantastic location in the thick of it all. Close to Myeongdong train station exit 5. Loved the rooftop views. Adored the common room on 13th floor that doubled as the breakfast room. Breakfast was so lovely and they changed it slightly every day so you could have rice and soup one morning and congee and hard boiled eggs the next. There's also toast, dumplings, cereal etc. You have to clear your own station and wash up which we didn't mind at all. Staff were gentle, patient and kind. Great sound insulation between rooms. Clever room design to maximise space. Comfortable mattress and nice weight of doona / quilt. Dinky, little, free to use washing machines in the hallway. I very strongly recommend this property...I felt so happy and pleased with myself for having chosen it 😁 plus....it's in such a vibrant neighbourhood. We stayed in room 1112.

No desk in the room. Bathroom is too small and not dry wet separated.

Great location, right next to Myengdong subway and five minutes walk to the Airport shuttle stop. Very good breakfast, free use of washing machines in the common area, very neat and clean. Late night check in possible.
Very small sized rooms perhaps ok for a single person but quite small for two.

Basic room with the smallest en suite possible. Breakfast is also basic. The location in Myeong-dong is great.
