Working myself in hospitality, never seen myself such kindness and passion from the staff.
Greeting us and hosting us until after we left the ryokan (literally waving and bow until they could see our car leaving)
Onsen could have been slightly more revamped, the temperature of the communal spaces was a touch too cool.

Excellent staff that greeted us well and looked after all our needs. Very original Japanese building and antiques inside. The onsen was amazing. Clean and private. We had 5 adults and one baby and our accommodation was good size rooms for us all. Best part was the staff and authentic meals.
It is out of way in countryside so need car or cab to get anywhere but this also was its charm located in forest.

Authentic ryokan experience. The owners are extremely kind and the property is beautiful.
The meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious (Japanese meals) and the experience was unforgettable. Highly recommended if you want a small ryokan with old vibes in a warm and cozy environment. Bring your sweatshirt because it might get a little bit cold!
