Towerhill Hotel

Check-in was easy and our room was actually ready earlier then expected! There was plenty of room for a family of 3, with a large wardrobe perfect for storing suitcases. The room had 2 beds a desk and a small table with chairs. There were also 2 windows (European style tilt and turn) that could be open with fly/insect screens to let in fresh air. The location was also fantastic - close to markets Busan tower, Busan Port and KTX Station. The parking facilities next door were great, we hired a car while in Busan and was able to park it there for free and without hassle. Overall we'd stay here again.

Only Few minor gripes, but nothing that would prevent repeat booking... 1. Room temperature - Despite setting the Air conditioner temperature lower, the lowest we could get the room down to was 24c (down from between 25/26c). Once the room reached 24c the AC would stop and then start again when room temperature reached around 25c again. We did try having the windows open to naturally cool down but it just wasn't windy enough at the time. 2. Storage - As mentioned above, fantastic wardrobe size, but no real storage to put clothing (only around 3x hangers in the wardrobe). We travel using packing cubes so just stacked them all on the desk. I think putting in a tall skinny shelving unit in the wardrobe or within the room would solve this issue. 3. Laundry facilities - The limited availability time meant that we would either need to come back earlier to use it or find somewhere else. In the end, I walked 5-10 minutes down the road to a 24hr facility (Cleantopia Coin Wash 365) and had it washed and dried within an hour.

The hotel was functional for our needs for a short 2 day stay. Beds were comfortable, wifi was fast and the location of the hotel was good - close to bus, train stops as well as restaurants and shopping areas.

The hotel could have been a bit more open to early check ins and also informing people of rooms being available early. We asked for an early check in due to an overnight flight, and were given a flat out no, straight away.

1. it takes about 7-8 minutes to walk to the closest subway station and there is no comfortable sidewalk, you share same road with cars driving beside you. Not convenient if you have young kids or luggage to walk to subway. it was raining all day during our stay, so walking to subway was tough. 2. The front desk staffs (except the manager, but she was not at the front most time) had difficulty understanding very basic English. e.g. “where is the closest subway station” “how long it will take to order taxi?” etc. Do not expect to ask recommendations or tips from front desk, they don’t understand most of your questions. i was thinking whether the foreign guests will receive sufficient assistance if there is any emergency situation happens. 3. Some of the front desk staffs were rude actually. The two girls working on Sep 1 and 2nd shifts were laughing and talking behind customer and I heard that in both days while waiting for the elevator beside the front desk. That made me feel very uncomfortable. We stayed couple of days in Seoul and never saw the staffs in Seoul hotel behave like that. The front desk staffs definitely need more training. 4. We got a room on 3rd floor. But because the building is located at a lower level. Our room in 3rd floor is actually right connects to a ground level road. We had to close the black-out curtains all day otherwise all the cars and pedestrians passing by can see through our room. people walking on the road can hear us talking if we opened the window.
