The Crown Inn

Great location. Good parking. Welcoming warm staff. Outside access with our dog. Very dog friendly. Good facilities in the room including welcome pack for our dog. Excellent breakfast with wide choices.

Great pub, right in the centre of Coniston. Room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, powerful shower was excellent. The evening meals were amazing and staff were very friendly. Loved that dogs weren’t allowed in the main eating area. A lovely stay in a great pub, would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Everything was spot on. Great location, easy parking, friendly staff, lovely room, lovely food etc. etc.

Noise from drinkers later on in evening sat below room windows. Wasn’t really a major issue as noise stopped as soon as pub closed.

Re: How was your stay at the Crown Inn? smoke alarm positioned directly above the bed had bright flashing light, kept us awake during the night, I had to put a T-shirt over my head to block out the flashing light. There was also a couple of bugs near the tea and coffee area in the room in the morning that looked similar to German or American cockroach. When squashed, they seeped white stuff which was disgusting. Glad we only stayed one night. Asked staff about these issues. Got told the flashing light was because they class this as a universally accessible room and needs to be better lit - I didn’t find it to be an accessible room, but even if it was, it would still disturb sleep. They’ve passed on the bug information to the housekeeping team.
