The location is spectacular: The hotel sits in the peaceful village of Myrthios, high above Plakias, and many great beaches are just a short drive away. The terrace of our room had a breathtaking view over Plakias and the coast, and sitting there taking in the panorama was simply stunning. The jacuzzi on the terrace was another highlight. The room had a reasonable size, with a very comfortable bed and everything you need for a stay of a few days. All in all, very good value for money.
Much of the furniture and fittings in our room were somewhat dated and worn and could use a refresh. Signs of wear here and there did not really bother us, but they were avoidable and suggested this is not a priority for the hotel, which slightly dampened the overall impression. The bathroom window, for example, took some effort to open and close. There was also no good coffee, and the hotel does not serve dinner, but both are easily solved: Myrthios has a nice little coffee shop and several restaurants within walking distance.

We met the owner on arrival who offered us a free upgrade. Our room and terrace was beautiful and we are very grateful to him and the team for their generosity.
Breakfast was served both inside and on the terrace with a variety of choices, both hot and cold. Restaurants on the village were of a high quality and each had its own character.
Nothing but if you struggle with hills the terrain outside the hotel is a little hilly.
