Overall, my experience at Atrium Hotel was good.
The hotel is located in a historic part of Bucharest, with a picturesque late19th-century atmosphere. It is not far from the city centre, but what I particularly enjoyed was the immediate surroundings. Right across from the hotel is the Sibile Church, built in the Brâncovenesc architectural style, which gives the area a distinctive character and creates a rather special atmosphere. The hotel itself is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is another strong point of the hotel. It is varied, generous, and offers a good selection. I definitely consider breakfast one of the highlights of my stay. The room has a minibar, but the refrigerator was empty. There is also a kettle, but no tea or coffee sachets or cups. This wasn't really a problem, though, as the reception staff were kind enough to provide a tea bag when I asked. The tram line runs directly in front of the hotel, but I found the noise quite tolerable. In fact, I felt it added to the neighbourhood's atmosphere, evoking early 20th-century Bucharest. The street is otherwise rather quiet, so the tram is practically the only distinct source of noise. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated both the hotel's location and the particular atmosphere of this historic part of Bucharest.
It would be very helpful to have tea and coffee sachets and cups in the room, so you can use the kettle at any time and in complete comfort without leaving the room to get them. I also think the internet connection could be improved.
