So so glad we chose La Ventana! Fantastic location at the top end of Dalt Vila near the ramparts. Close to independent shops, bars and restaurants yet quiet at night. The hotel feels like you are in somebody's house; it is warm, charming, totallly eccentric, slightly moorish in style and absolutely crammed with art, sculpture and pottery from around the world. There is a lovely roof terrace with big sofas and a panoramic view. Our suite, whilst simple, had plenty of space for the 4 of us. Ana on reception made us feel welcome and was super-helpful - thank you!
OK so if you want a pristine, generic, business-style box to stay in, this is definitely not for you. It is quirky and a bit careworn in places. Lots of stairs; wardrobe space somewhat lacking. We had the 10euro breakfast one day because everywhere else was closed due to bad weather - it was ok, did the job but to be honest there are better options in the many cafes and restaurants nearby (when they are open!).

Charming boutique hotel, amazing location (convenient to explore the city but also reach the nearby parties etc due to proximity to the port bus stations), helpful and reachable staff. We had a wonderful few days!
