Location location location. Near the Louvre and other city attractions. On a quaint street. Boutique style hotel with super comfy beds.
Old building so the Rooms are small but nice little balcony on the room.

the location was the best thing about this hotel. One block from the Seine on the right bank, one could easily walk to the Left Bank. The location was also accessible to the Marais on foot, about a 15 minute walk. The staff was pleasant, accommodating and available to answer questions and offer advice but not voluntarily. The breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and good value for the money. Unfortunately the hotel was not at $500 per night.
Unfortunately the "deluxe" room was incredibly small; so much so that we had the hotel remove an armchair from the room so we would have room for our suitcases. This is the first European hotel that we have stayed in that did not have a bidet! We have traveled in France and Paris 5 times over the years and understand that Paris hotel rooms in boutique hotels are short on space, but Hotel des Ofervres is excessively so. And our one window faced a courtyard, so that one couldn't tell if it was night or day. Although we had booked our room about 2 months prior to arrival, we were give a less desirable room in the category, perhaps because we had booked through Bookings. com which charges a fee to the hotel. There was no porter to help with luggage on arrival and departure.
