The location of the hotel was excellent, being close to the bus station, the beach, a variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel is in an old building without a lift which kept us fit as we were in the attic room on the 3rd floor. The furniture was a bit quirky, but functional and the bed was comfortable. The attic room has a balcony with a great view of one of the forts at the top of the hill and was large enough to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine. The bathroom was fine and had all that we needed. Breakfast was good, though there was not a large of variety on offer, but it was just what I needed.
Nothing that I would expect at this price point.

Our 2nd stay here. Convenient location close to public parking yet in the old town. Lots of stairs which we knew about. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast available.

The situation was excellent . The staff were very pleasant. the bathroom was good and efficient. no stairs to climb. The size of the room was good and storage good too. The television worked well.
The carpet was stained and brown. the room was on the ground floor so was dark but the furniture was dark, the carpet was brown and old and stained . The room was not pleasant to stay in. If they did something about the floor...paint it white and remove the carpet, it would improve the room a lot. I did not feel the cleaning person was very efficient .. He/she forgot to do my room one day . I had to ask for an extra blanket as none were in the cupboards, and I am not usually cold..... Not really what I would call a "boutique hotel" !
