We had a really lovely stay.
The staff were all attentive and friendly.
All the food we had was good value for money and extremely tasty
Unfortunately there was a problem with the heating in our room, so we were very cold on the first night but the hotel bought a heater for us for the second night which we appreciated

Lovely period hotel
No lift, and had to carry a heavy suitcase up 2 floors, but it was just a minor thing being a 70 year old.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was fine.
There was no heating in the room which was quite basic & in need of an update, after complaining about the heating I was told a plumber had been called to fix the problem, after a few hours at the theatre and dinner we arrived back to find the heating was still not working. The next morning I was given an apology but no reduction in the room rate which I thought would be expected.
