The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were so warm and welcoming; perhaps the best hotel service we’ve ever received. The location is great — it has great views; is on the edge of the Promenade and Old Nice, close enough to go to it but not in the heart of it; there is a public beach just across the street. Even more so, we liked being close to the Harbor area, as we found the best restaurants over there. It is also reasonably close to public transit — a small bus stops right outside, and two of the trams are just a 15 min walk.
It is a bit of a maze (and series of elevators or stairs) to get to the upper floors. It didn’t impact us at all, but something to keep in mind for those with more limited mobility, or even those traveling with young kids.

This is a lovely hotel with character and great views.
The breakfast could be better. The dinner could have more options, including a few simple ones.

Amazing location. Comfortable room
It was nowhere near worth £700 a night. Having stayed there, I wouldn’t pay more than £300 a night. For that room rate, you’d expect a lot better service, amenities and comfort.
