Location was good for local restaurants and nightlife, relatively close the severn valley railway.
Staff were very friendly.
There was excessive noise at night but due to location in town centre is was expected.

What an amazing old hotel. It's currently pretty basic in terms of decor bit there plenty of hot water, and good water pressure, tea and coffee and extra milk, plus a fridge. I slept really well. Everything you need for an overnight, plus it's bang in the centre so who cares if there's no food. As a history geek, I loved all the wonky floors, giant ancient oak presses and cupboards and, the beams. I'd definitely come back. Staff were also lovely. Very good value.
I hope that one day, another history geek will invest in restoring this old coaching inn to its former glory.
