Fantastic location overlooking the lagoon and also watching the daily fish catch come in, also within a local village and genuine home stay vibe. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, outstanding knowledge of area and bird life which he shared as our safari guide. Dinner delicious with fresh caught grilled fish. Even facilitated a visit to local school upon my request.
Mossie net would be helpful over bed.

The view is great, you are basically inside Bundala Park.
The room is big and the staff are kind and flexible.
The worst was a mouse in the room, it came from the ceiling and even if we told them no one did anything to help us. So we slept 2 nights with his presence and noise around us. There were also other bug especially in the toilet.
I know a mouse is not dangerous but you don’t expect to find it when you pay a high price
$$$$
