An outstanding traditional ryokan experience in a relaxed, small town setting in the mountains of Kyushu. The whole ryokan had a very relaxed, traditional feel about it, and being a smaller place you barely saw other guests. Our family room was spacious, with a generous-sized tatami living room area downstairs, two bedroom areas upstairs, and a private bathroom/outdoor bath, which we loved. The four onsens at this ryokan are all for private use. We tried the two rotenburo (outdoor baths), both of which we loved; and there was no wait each time we wanted to use them. The dinner was absolutely delicious (the best meal of our current trip to Japan), as was breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. I would highly recommend this ryokan for a relaxed, traditional experience.

전통적인 느낌을 완전히 느낄수 있는 일본 료칸을 찾으신다면 강력추천! 입구부터 분위기있는 프라이빗 노천탕, 깨끗한 룸 컨디션, 그리고 너무나 친절한 직원들이 다시방문하고 싶다는 느낌이 들게 한 곳이었답니다. 가이세키 석식, 조식도 한국인의 입맛에 질맞고 즐겁고 여유로운 시간을 보냈네요

We loved everything about this family run Ryokan Onsen. Nestled in a remote forested hillside village near gushing rivers, it was a traditional ryokan with several private onsen baths. Dinner and breakfast were great, staff were friendly and the village was peaceful.
