We stayed in one of the larger villas and had a very pleasant experience. All the rooms were spacious, with excellent air conditioning throughout. The water pressure was great, with consistently hot water, and the entire villa was exceptionally clean.
The surrounding grounds were beautiful, with lovely green lawns, mature olive and carob trees, and a peaceful atmosphere. The entire property was very well maintained and clearly looked after with care.
Overall, a lovely place to stay, offering comfort, space and beautiful surroundings.
Unfortunately, the only downside to our stay was the owner's attitude, which we found rather stern and unwelcoming. Even a simple greeting seemed difficult, as we often had to make a point of looking directly at him and saying hello before receiving a response.
More disappointingly, the property is advertised as pet-friendly, and we had specifically included a pet in our reservation. However, one evening the owner approached us and repeatedly commented that our dog was "grande, grande" (big), in a rather unpleasant tone. We explained that we were unaware of any size restrictions, particularly since our booking clearly included a pet. He responded that in Italy, "pet-friendly" generally means medium-sized dogs.
For context, our dog was a very quiet, well-behaved female Labrador who caused absolutely no disturbance.
It was disappointing to feel uncomfortable about bringing a dog to a property advertised as pet-friendly, especially when no size restrictions had been communicated beforehand.
A warmer, more welcoming attitude from the owner would make a significant difference to the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, this was the only aspect that let an otherwise lovely property down.

The grounds and garden and pool. The staff. The remote and quiet location. The breakfast.
Room and facilities are dated but not too bad. The rooms are a bit dark due to layout. The entrance road is rough for a rental car.

Amazing place in the middle of nowhere. It's surrounded olive trees - it's perfect if you want to escape the rush. The pool is great! Pictures don't do it justice.
We stayed in the big villa (with 4 rooms), and I have to say that the interio of the villa is amazing. They have blended very well the authentic pieces of Italian/Sicilian culture into different parts of the villa. A lot of art, and colorful bathroms. Additionally, the terrace outside was secluded, and we enjoyed our evenings there.
Beds could be a bit more comfy. We stayed in the big villa which was great, but the isolation between two floors is almost non-existant. Be prepare to hear everything from the room above. Restaurant food could be improved as well.

Beautiful grounds and lovely pool and pool area.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Had dinner one evening and food was delicious and excellent value for money.
Room was very ‘rustic’ - lots of space but was very cold, especially at night.
Bed uncomfortable but had good night’s sleep because of copious amounts of wine drunk!
Take a hairdryer if you need one but be careful of the sockets as they’re a bit fragile.
Shower looks dodgy but is in fact very good!!
