WORST room of all time, absolute worst, bar none.

Nothing. Zero. Nothing. Awful. Worst room I’ve ever stayed in, including the sketchy Motel 6 in downtown Birmingham, AL, and the drug-ridden trucker motel on the interstate out of St. Louis. Utterly terrible room. Complete trash.

Caveat: The name listed here, Karen, is my PA who helped me book this. But I made the final choice based on the photos online. So don’t think this is Karen. This is me, who actually stayed in this trashy place. 1. The pictures on booking.com are completely misleading. Most are camera shots of other apts, it seems. And those of the apt are very carefully staged to obscure the cramped space, dilapidated condition and overall state of this property. 2. Worst thing: No A/C. The split system did not work, and it was in the bathroom anyway. The room was 29 C 24/7. 3. Second worst thing. The two twin beds pushed together were thin mattresses in lightweight metal frames, such that the beds moved as you slept on them. The pillows were two small, beat-up old sofa pillows. 4. The furniture was apparently collected from low-rate second-hand shops or just junk piles in the street. 5. The bathroom was the size of a walk-in closet. The toilet was so close to the shower stall I had to sit sideways. 6. There is no light of any sort in the bathroom. 7. The kitchen is nothing but the end of a narrow hallway and so cramped you’d probably set your shirttail on fire if you used it. 8. The so-called flat-screen TV is a small desktop computer monitor. 9. The licks to both the street entrance and the room are so loose that you have to stand there jiggling keys and shaking the door for a minute or two to make them work. 10. The building seems deserted. It is rundown inside and I saw no one at all for three days and heard no activity on any floor.

La ubicación es super buena. El anfitrión nos recibió apenas llegamos y tuvo muy buena disposición

Justo fuimos en una ola de calor. Los ventiladores ayudaron bastante, pero tener aire acondicionado hubiese sido lo ideal. La puerta de entrada no era muy fácil de abrir y había que intentar bastante.
