Good: clean, very quiet after the restaurant closes (if you are above it as we were), good restaurant for dinner, adequate free parking, the breakfast was good enough, and the location is in a secure residential neighborhood.
Good internet, but a clumsy login process that only allowed one device per registered email address, and after a while, when logging in, it said another device was already logged in, which wasn’t true.
Not good: incredibly smelly scented plug-ins everywhere throughout the hotel. In the hallways, in the restaurant. The only reason there wasn’t one in our room was because I sent them a message requesting that these (and other) offensive smelly things are not to be used. The use of terrible smelly laundry detergents, dryer sheets, and scented plug-ins seem to be endemic in France on this trip.
There is a massively large TV in each of the dining rooms, tuned to world news - so you can only image the images. At dinner we had to ask them to turn it off while we ate, as it totally dominated the dining experience. The TV’s were on with the news - and sound - also at breakfast.
Why TV in a nice restaurant? And does anyone really need more news? Can’t we be allowed to eat in peace and simply be with our dining companion.
