Good location but needs addressing the issues
Good location
We stayed here for a couple of days at the start of October hoping that the weather would allow us to do a brief road tour of the I o W. The location of the accommodation was easy to find but the attached car space not so much. It is directly behind the flat, but about 250 yards walk away through the Co-op carpark.
Initial impressions of the entrance were frankly poor. The door opened onto a dark, dank and untidy common entrance hall that stank of damp, and stale food and smoke. The entry into suite 3 was better, and its main living room had plenty of space, with good kitchen facilities. The style was eclectic with a mixture of antique and modern. It contained a large sofabed, so the flat could accommodate a slightly larger party than we were. The bathroom was OK, but there were a few issues that needed attention, not least a loose and ill-fitting loo seat, and a hot water supply that was, at best, occasional. The bedroom was small but the bed was fine. What was not fine was a downstairs neighbour who played loud television/music until about 3.30am (this was Monday night!). Just when we managed to get some sleep we were woken again by the same noise at about 5.00am and the Co-op deliveries started soon after. Tuesday night was thankfully silent, or the breach of the peace would certainly have been reported. The apartment is situated close to a number of pubs and restaurants (We liked the Spyglass Inn and loved the expensive, but excellent, True Food Kitchen) but
it is difficult to give any recommendation for the apartment until the owner addresses its drawbacks.

Location, location, location
Great location, kitchen lounge was very nice and fully equipped
The bed was a double with a soft mattress. Would have preferred Kingsize and I like my matresses firmer but thats a preference rather than anything wrong with it.

Very disappointing
It was clean inside but needs updating.
Access wasn't until 4pm, which it does state on the booking information. This is rather late compared with the many, many properties we have stayed with. Check out it earlier than most at 10am, in our experience.
The communal entance smelled awful. The main entrance on the street was unappealing and needs cleaning.
The living room windows are very dirty. One of the bedroom windows needs replacing as the double glazed has failed and the window is full of moisture. The neighbours below had their television on extremely loud at open windows very late at night disturbing our sleep. Each morning there were deliveries to the nearby Co op at the rear of the property which were very noisy, disturbing sleep very early and went on for a great length of time. Virtually no sleep!
The living area is completely overlooked by the properties opposite.
The carpark area at the back is unappealing, the lower property is very delaputated and as a woman I felt it was too far to walk alone round to the main entrance on the busy High Street.
We very nearly didn't stay or even enter the property because of the smell in the initial hallway.
All photos enhance the look of some accommodation, the bedroom walls are in need of paint and the bedding whilst clean was unattractive.
Once we entered the internal hall it was much cleaner and didn't smell as bad.
The property was adequate but we would not recommend or return.
Reviews should be honest and truthful. This was the experience we had. Very disappointing.

The flat was in a good spot and handy to get to, we did book about 2 days in advance.
It was spacious
There seemed to be a strange smell through the entrance and as we were in the flat it came in. The bed was on a slope, and the toilet seat was loose and was sliding once you sat on it. There was a lot of noise from the flat below from 6am.
Great location, kitchen lounge was very nice and fully equipped

Great location, comfy beds and large well-stocked kitchen. The free parking was appreciated. John was very kind and accommodating and quick to respond.
The entrance to the apartment was quite smelly but the apartment itself was fine.
