About this house rental
Welcome to our lakehouse! Our 3-bedroom cottage is situated right on the water, with dock access just a few steps away. Fully renovated from the studs up, this 3-bedroom house can sleep up to 6 people. During the renovation, we made every effort to make the home feel comfortable and relaxing for your vacation, which includes full air conditioning! The master bedroom features a king sized bed with wonderful lake views. The second bedroom is appointed with a queen sized bed and a view of the canal that runs alongside the property. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds. Our main living space is open concept, with a full wall of windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen is brand new, with beautiful granite countertops, island seating, and a large dining table. We have two indoor seating areas. The first is wonderful for conversation and drinking coffee (or a cocktail!). The second has a wonderfully deep sofa for lounging or watching a movie on our smart TV. There is a fully functioning wood-burning fireplace for winter nights, and plenty to do outdoors during the warmer months! Our large patio is filled with plenty of outdoor furniture and a propane grill. The side yard has a fire pit to warm up chilly nights, and a hammock that is perfect for afternoon naps. Our secluded bay is surprisingly close to most of Chautauqua's main attractions, such as the Chautauqua Institute, which is just about a 5 minute drive by car (or 10 minutes by boat!). You are welcome to dock your boat at the community dock where we have one dedicated space, located directly in front of our property. There is a public boat launch conveniently located, just around the corner at Prendergast Point. Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on Chautauqua Lake!

Kitchen was well-equipped. Had some extra spices, coffee, condiments on hand to kick start your vacation. Fishing was good right there in Whitney Bay with boat launch just around the corner. The roadway and parking is pretty tight for our pontoon boat/trailer (for our backing up experience level). We parked our empty trailer at Snug Harbor Marine for a very modest fee. Plenty of dock space on the shared dock. Had a wonderful time. Saw an awesome moonrise over the lake!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this delightful property! We enjoyed the beautiful lake views, quiet surroundings, well-appointed kitchen, and so much more. We hope to come again. Highly recommend!

Yearly girls vacation weekend out geocaching around Chautauqua Lake. Best way to reconnect with our younger selves. We had a lovely clean and comfortable place to stay after a long days nature adventure. Having a great kitchen to prepare our meals is a plus for me as we preferred staying in to going out.
