Great for a short central stay

Excellent central location, close to the main attractions and restaurants. The apartment was clean and comfortable, no issues. Keep in mind that parking is a challenge with such central location

Too much perfume in the apartment :) But other than that, nothing

Stuffy, smelly, dark and claustrophobic studio

The location.

The studio was such a disappointment. It smelled of sewage. In fact the sewage manhole was right outside the door, within the building foyer. It was so bad we spent as little time in it as possible for the one night stopover we booked. We couldn’t sleep either because it smelt like a long lingering fart. It was very basic, claustrophobic and dark. Pictures are misleading. Not even a bottle of water as a welcome gesture. No toiletries were provided as pictured. The toilet was cluttered with a bucket, some plastic containers and mismatched rugs. The light in the entrance to the building didn't work so at night we had to use our mobile torches to find the door. Check-in was terrible. We were 4 minutes later than the time we specified earlier that day. The owner called us to tell us off angrily and informed us her dad was going to check us in. Then a frowning man met us in the street, didn’t even introduce himself, greet us or at least smile at us. He just showed us how to lock the door and vanished within 1 minute. He was hanging around in the area, possibly where he lives, 40 minutes later so we didn’t understand the rush and lack of courtesy. Three hours later, the owner demanded for us to go to her place of work to get our passports checked. She kept harassing us by sending us plenty of voice and text messages, insisting we went immidiately ("Ia m waiting for you, ok?") as if we had nothing better to do in the one and only day we had in Zadar. She should give her paying guests some flexibility and grace, given we are not familiar with the area and the parking was a nightmare and we had kids. Zero effort was made to please us as customers, instead we were treated as nuisance.
