South African Hospitality at Its Absolute Best – An Exceptional Experience!
The overview on Booking.com simply does not do this incredible venue justice!
From the moment you arrive, the experience is exceptional. You are welcomed at the gate with a wonderful drink, and a delicious lunch awaits you. The hospitality is outstanding, with an incredibly warm, attentive team who seem to anticipate your every need before you even have to ask. A special mention must go to our game guide, William, who was absolutely brilliant! Having had the privilege of visiting Welgevonden Game Reserve frequently, I can confidently say he is one of the best guides I have experienced. His extraordinary knowledge of the wildlife, the bush and the surrounding environment made every game drive memorable.
The food throughout our stay was fantastic, with dinner under the stars at the boma being a particular highlight. The lodge also has a lovely spa, adding another dimension of relaxation to the experience. What a weekend getaway felt like a full week's holiday. We left feeling completely relaxed, thoroughly spoilt and already wanting to return.

The game drives were well irganized and Thomas our ranger was very knowledgeable. The room was spacious and the Jacuzzi clean and warm with a great view. The food was impeccable and a good selection of wines and other drinks and great coffee!
They dont have feather pillows, but thats a personal preferrence that a lot of guests probably dont have.

The facilities were absolutely stunning, both the rooms and the main lodge
The gravel road leading up to the West gate is long and only traversable via 4x4. While the property did inform us of this, the road would disuade me from returning.
