The hotel is an absolute gem. The grounds and building are well kept. It is perched on top of a rise on Monte Isola in lake Iseo and the views are magnificent. I wish we had more time there. I could've sat there in the gardens/dining room all morning and just sipped a coffee. THis was also the most ideal time of year (mid October), great weather and lesser crowds.
Nothing really. It is a little difficult getting there if you have a car (you have to park it further up, which, with luggage, is not so easy but the parking lot person took us down by car. We then took the ferry which was also a nice experience), and luggage (but the hotel will send someone to help you from and to the dock as it is a fairly steep rise from the dock).

This is a magical place - not to be missed!
All rooms we saw were wonderful, attentive service, spectacular location, very comfortable and charming.
A little miscommunication with the restaurant side spoiled the experience but we will come back and hopefully we will manage to enjoy the restaurant too.

Exceptional location and everything you need on the spot.

Beautiful historic property, best spot on the island.
Room was above the kitchen and very loud. AC was weak and so was plumbing but that’s to be expected in a historic building
