The location was very good. Parking at the hotel was useful - though you need to pay. Worth it
Spacious rooms
Beds were a bit creaky and not the best for comfort
Lighting in the room very dull and poor, not bright
Big gaps at door and windows - not good for mosquitoes
I didn’t feel the hotel was superbly secure as often no staff on reception and entry open including entry from parking. Gates for parking close but not until later at night. Only one toilet roll provided
Not a lot of personal contact with staff and no information offered though given when asked

The design, location and cleanliness
Missing communication from staff, after certain hours the city close the streets for traffic to have only pedestrians on, I left early on my rental car one day and coming back to the hotel the police did not allow me to get in, I called the hotel and they didn’t do anything, the police officer got tired of me holding the traffic and let me in.

We are frequent guests at this property…we enjoy the room size as well as the cleanliness. Small and appreciative things , like the AC being on when we arrive means a lot to us . Fridge already on and cold is also much appreciated.
It is also the comfort in knowing that our accommodation at Casa Lucia Boutique is a constant we can rely on.
Silly little issue…we had to fight with the soap wrapper …that packaging is quite difficult to open.

Location; parking (at a cost); comfortable beds and pillows
Wifi was very patchy - not good for a hotel in central Merida. Very awkward shower arrangement. Cats noisy at night (and smelly). One breakfast member of staff was incredibly moody and everything seemed a chore - shame as all the other staff were lovely.
