It's a quirky hotel and bills itself as such, and in this case that's nice enough. It's on the main road so very accessible, but not noisy.
Be aware that you need to use the stairs both up and down.

Nice hotel, beautiful room, very spacious.
8 / 10Excellent·May 2026
visit coincided with the annual cheese festival which was a bit of a complication because parking was at a premium and resulted in a long walk to the only restaurant in town. However hotel is very 'local' and slightly out of town. View was sublime.
facility wise...great very large bathroom
6 / 10Average·Oct 2026
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location was convenient, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed our stay during the two nights we were able to spend there.
On 20 October, severe flooding and extreme weather led to road closures that made it legally impossible for us to reach the hotel. This was a force majeure situation entirely beyond our control, just as it was beyond the hotel’s control.
We were disappointed that the hotel offered no flexibility regarding the payment for the first night, despite the fact that we were prevented from arriving by mandatory road closures, not by our own choice. The following day, we arrived at 1 pm but were still unable to check in until 3 pm, even though we had already paid for the previous night. We felt that our exceptional circumstances were met with a lack of understanding and empathy. Although the accommodation itself was good, the hotel’s handling of the situation left us feeling very disappointed by its lack of compassion.
