breakfast was nice, surroundings very nice. animals hanging around in the trees. balcony looking into the forrest was nice
many things so outdated and unkept. the kids slide in the pool should be shut down until fixed properly. it cut my childs toes then after they 'patched' up the slide, he cut his heel badly and changed our holiday big time as he could no longer walk and had to be carried everywhere. pool also needs to be cleaned !! too many dogs around the place, not good especially when foarming n packs - i carried a stick at all times around the area

Amazing location and surroundings, right in the rainforest. Saw orangutans in the grounds which absolutely made my stay. Food i had was fine.
It's very rustic, so be prepared. Buildings are very dated so don't expect great facilities. Also there is nothing in sepilok beside rainforest and places to stay (which is what I wanted!) but you probably wouldnt want to stay there longer than a couple of nights.
Was great to have a pool in that jungle heat but there are only about 10 beds / chairs - nowhere near enough for a building that size when people are desperate for a bit of cool!
Fan basically just moves the warm air around.
But all these things are bearable for the wildlife!

Location near the sunbear sanctuary and orangutang rehabilitation center.
Rooms are not like in the pictures. Older, not super clean, with smell of humidity. Water did not work for the whole afternoon without any warning. When we first spoke in the reception, they tried to say it was our fault. When water did work at end of afternoon it came out brown. Both days this happened without any explanation or warning from the staff. For the price paid, we expected a cleaner space.
